Rachel Vass Designs - Home Sweet Home

Hi crafty friends,

For today's card I played in my Silhouette Studio and the new Home Sweet Home release from Rachel Vass Designs.

I love digital stamps because you can edit and resize them.
For my card I used the font Britannic and typed the word Home. I replaced the O by the house image from Rachel's release.
I thought it would be nice to also add these flowers to the other letters so I played with my Silhouette Studio and came up with this design.
The Sweet Home sentiment is also from Rachel's release although I added these words behind each other instead of beneath each other.

Finally when printed I colored it with Copic markers and adhered it to the card base.

Rachel Vass Designs - Fabulous Floribunda

Hi crafty friends,

It's release day at Rachel Vass Designs!
Today she released The Fabulous Floribunda set so check out her Etsy shop!

My card is based on a card of Fiona Galloway which you can find here.

For this card I printed the flowers and leaves on watercolor paper and colored them with Zig markers. I cut them out by hand.

I chose Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink as the matching background color and used this color to partially stamp the Swiss Dots from IO.

Next I used a stitched rectangle die, stamped the sentiment from SSS with Versafine Onyx black and adhered this to the card base with foam tape.

Finally I arranged the flowers and added some rhinestones.

Challenge Up Your Life #125 - Vacation Mood

Hi all!

I'm super excited to be Guest Designer this month for Challenge Up Your Life where the theme is Vacation Mood.

For this card I started with the waves which I cut with my Silhouette Cameo. I blended Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon to give them some color.

Next I used the circle die from Altenew's Gradient Sunset and did some partial die cutting as I didn't want the whole circle to be cut.

To create the background I blended Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon, Festive Berries and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide inks.

I assembled the card and stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black. I also stamped the palm tree with the same ink and used the coordinating die to cut it out.
To create some dimension I used foam squares to adhere the tree to the card.
