AAA Birthday Challenge #33 - Two Favourite Colours + Micro Blog Hop

Happy New Year!

It's the first AAA Birthday Challenge of 2022 and we challenge you to create a birthday card featuring your 2 favourite colours.


To celebrate the New Year, new beginnings and new blog colours AAA Birthday and AAA Cards are having a micro blog hop.

To accommodate the different timings of the two challenges the Micro Hop will begin at 8.00am UK time on Sunday 9th January and close at 23.55 UK time on Saturday 22nd January.

You can of course enter cards at AAA Birthday before and after those dates, but they will not be a part of the prize draw.

For my card I chose 2 Distress Oxide colors: Twisted Citron and Peacock Feathers.
I blended these colors onto a piece of cardstock and used the Cosmo Flower Petals from SSS to cut out the leaves.

Then I used the same 2 colors to stamp the dotted background which is from Altenew.
I adhered this background onto the cardbase and used foam tape to adhere the flower.

Finally I stamped the sentiment from IO with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

I'm stopping by to share this card I made for the Color Hues Challenge. They are celebrating their One Year Anniversary so Congratulations!

I thought this background stamp from IO would be perfect for this challenge.
The sentiment is from SSS and is stacked 3 times to create some dimension.

I made this slimline card based on the sketch from FMS#482.

I stamped the background from Uniko with Versafine Onyx Black.

Next I stamped the flower and leaves from SSS with Memento Tuxedo Black and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I used Copic markers to color them and used foam tape to adhere them to the card base.

Finally I stamped the sentiment from Impression Obsession with Versafine Onyx Black.

Rachel Vass Designs - Ravishing Rose

Hi crafty friends!

I'm stopping by today to share this card using the Ravishing Rose digital stamp from Rachel Vass Designs March release. 

I first made the background by stamping the Rose Leaves background stamp from IO with Unicorn White pigment ink onto a piece of colored cardstock.

Then I printed the floral image and sentiment from the same set and colored it with Copic markers. I used a stitched square die to cut it out.

Finally I added some gold twine onto the card base and adhered the front panel with foam tape to create some dimension.

Today I'm sharing a card made for the current challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches #411.

I used the Flower Flourish die from Penny Black and colored it with Copic makers. I actually stacked it twice to create some dimension and added a gem stone in the middle.

Then I used purple tape to create a mask and blended some Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink in the left corner as a background for the flower.

Finally I stamped the sentiment from Impression Obsession with Versafine Onyx Black.

Freshly Made Sketches #473

Happy Friday!

For my today's card I was inspired by the sketch of Freshly Made Sketches.

I first colored a piece of cardstock with Aqualicious Altenew ink and then stamped the leaves from Impression Obsession with Galactic Stream.

Then I matted this onto a piece of cardstock which was colored with the same Galactic Stream ink.

I also colored the middle strip with the same Altenew ink and stamped the sentiment from SSS with Versamark and heat set it with white embossing powder.

I adhered it to the card base and added 2 small strips of blue glitter paper as a finishing touch.

AAA Birthday Challenge #18 - Photo Inspiration

Happy Monday!

Today a new challenge started over at AAA Birthday. This time it's a photo inspiration challenge.
There is so much to be inspired by and we are excited to see what you will create!

 

 

 

I first stamped the flowers with different Altenew ink colors and cut them out by hand. I did the same with the leaves.

For the background I was inspired by the woven basket so I used the Next Level Woven embossing folder.
On top of this I adhered a piece of cardstock which I stamped with the Nifty Plaid stamp from Papertrey Ink.

Finally I adhered the flowers and leaves with foam tape for dimension and stamped the sentiment from Impression Obsession with Versafine Onyx Black.

Rachel Vass Designs - Fig and Pumpkin Wreath

Say hello to a new release from Rachel Vass Designs: Fig and Pumpkin Wreath.

I used the print and cut function with my Silhouette Cameo for my card.
When the wreath and sentiment were cut, I colored the wreath with Copic markers.

Then I masked off the edges of my card and stamped the Gingham background with Hydrangea Altenew ink. I also adhered 2 small strips which were colored with Ultraviolet Altenew ink.

Finally I adhered the wreath and sentiment with foam tape to create some dimension.
