CAS(E) this Sketch #265

Today I went to a workshop at Happy Hobby where we learned some coloring techniques with Chameleon alcohol markers. I have these markers for a while but I was not satisfied with the results and therefore I didn't use them often. So I was very happy that I could go to this workshop to learn some good techniques. Now I can use these markers more in future projects :)

I still had to finish my card for CAS(E) this Sketch #265 which I started yesterday. So here is my finished card.

Birthday card

CAS(E) this Sketch 265

I started with stamping the sentiment with Versamark and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. Then I used a stitched circle die to die cut the sentiment.

On the card base I stamped the balloons from Clearly Besotted in different colors. I used both Altenew inks and Memento Dew Drops.

I searched my stash for matching washi tape but I couldn't find one in matching colors so I used a gold one. But the gold of the washi tape didn't match the gold of the sentiment. Therefore I used an extra layer of silky gold embossing powder to solve that. Eventually it is not evenly embossed but I like that look.

MtS Sketch 222

I'm back with a quick post and an entry to the MtS Sketch #222.

MtS Sketch 222

When I saw the sketch I immediately thought about the animal stamps I bought recently from Scrapbookatelier.

Hiep Hiep Hoera

I first used the Tiny dots stencil on a piece of red cardstock and sprayed it with White color shine.

Then I stamped the grass border and used a stitched square die to die cut 4 pieces. After that I stamped the animals.

Finally I stamped the sentiment with Versamark on a strip of black cardstock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

Welcome back card

My sister's colleague has been sick for a while and she will be coming back to work next week so my sister asked me to make a welcome back card.

I wanted to make a flower card and at the moment I really like the build-a-flower rose stamp set from Altenew. It is such a detailed layered stamp!

Altenew Build-a-flower rose

For the background I used a stencil from Happy patterns decorative masks from Stampin' Up! and blended some Tumbled Glass distress ink with a blending tool.

The sentiment is written with Silhouette Cameo since I didn't have a stamp set with a matching sentiment.

Baby girl card

As I already mentioned before I know several people who are expecting a baby.
So I definitely needed to make some baby cards.

Today I made a baby girl card using HP Stempel 97o from Scrapbookatelier. I really love the Dutch sentiments they have.

The stork is from Clearly Besotted and is lightly colored with Chameleon pens.
For the background I used a paper cloud and blended Spun sugar distress ink around it to create a cloudy background.

Rainbow card

Today I'm sharing a birthday card I made for 2 challenges.

I started by putting the 'Hoera' sentiment in a horizontal position on my stamping tool and turned my card every time I stamped the sentiment in another color, leaving the stamp in the same place on the stamping tool. However, as my card was too big to turn it by 45° in the stamping tool, I first turned it 4 times by 90°, which resulted in a 4 lined figure.
Secondly, I placed the stamp in a diagonal position and started over by turning the card again 4 times in the stamping tool.
As a result, I had a 8 lined rainbow-colored figure circling on the card.

Rainbow card

Then I die cut a piece of black cardstock with a stitched circle die and I stamped the 'hieperdepiep' sentiment onto this black circle using Versamark ink. Next I heat set this using white embossing powder and used foam tape to adhere this to the middle of the card base.
To finish, I simply added a black line around the card with a fineliner.

Masculin triangle card

Today I wanted to create a masculin card since it's almost my brother in law's birthday.

I started with stamping the Abstract Triangles background from SSS with Versamark and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.

Then I blended Cracked Pistachio, Salty Ocean and Faded Jeans with a blending foam. These colors are all Distress Oxide inks and they blend very easy.

For the card base I used cardstock that was colored with Frayed Burlap (also Distress Oxide ink), because that color mathes with the gold of the triangles. You could also use craft cardstock but I didn't have that.

Since the triangles in the background were creating lines I thought it would be nice to cut the cardstock into some pieces. I cut the card into 4 pieces, parallel with the lines in the background and I adhered them onto the card base.

For the sentiment I used a stitched square die and did some blending with Salty Ocean and Cracked Pistachio. I wanted a big sentiment, since it's a masculin card so I used the Big Birthday Wishes stamp set from SSS and stamped it with Versafine Black ink.

Finally I adhered the sentiment with foam tape onto the card base to give it some dimension.

Supplies:
- SSS - Abstract Triangles

- SSS - Big Birthday Wishes
- Versamark

- Gold embossing powder
- Versafine onyx black
- Stitched square die
- Distress oxide ink:
          - Cracked Pistachio

The Paper Players - PP384 - A Colour Challenge from Joanne

The Paper Players PP384

For the colour challenge at The Paper Players I made an easel card.

easel card

I stamped the background text with Versamark and let this dry so I used no embossing powder.
Then I colored the background with Spun Sugar distress ink.

easel card

For the tag I used watercolor paper and stamped the flowers and leaves with Versamark and heat embossed this with white embossing powder.
Then I colored the flowers with a water pen and Worn Lipstick distress ink. The leaves were colored with Mowed Lawn distress ink.

To color the base part of the card I used Worn Lipstick. I think Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick match perfectly together.

Finally I added the sentiment, some sequins and a spring swirl to complete the card.

- Background Stamp Text Crealies CLBG01
- SSS - Favorite Flowers
- Hero Arts - It's your day

Freshly Made Sketches #327

Today the sun is shining and the temperature is rising a bit. This gives me almost a summer feeling :p It inspired me to use warm colors for the sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches #327.

Freshly Made Sketches #327
Nananas - Freshly Made Sketches #327

I used the DDBD Mask Art Star stencil and blended some warm colors with a blending foam.
After that I die cut the flower and cut this in half. For the upper side I used only the outside part of the flower and for the lower side I used only the leaves.
Then I die cut another flower and adhered this on top.
I finished it of with a button which is colored with Mustard Seed distress ink.

The sentiment is stamped with HP stempel 47d from Het Scrapbook Atelier Webshop.

I stamped it with Blush, Rouge, Crimson and Velvet also from Altenew.

Then I made a mask for the flowers and added the gray stripes with the Stripes layering stencil from Tim Holtz.

I stamped the leaf with Bamboo, Parrot, Olive and Moss, also from Altenew and die cut this. The sentiment is from SSS It's your birthday stamp set.

Finally I adhered the 3 pieces of cardstock with foam tape onto the card base to give it some dimension. Also the leaf is adhered with foam tape.

AAA Cards Cas Game #110 - Ombré

cas game 110 ombre

AAA Cards Ombré

This card is for the challenge over at AAA Cards.
I wanted to stamp the 'YAY' sentiment 4 times to create an ombré effect so I first measured it out to fit on the card and then stamped this sentiment with Mountain Mist, Volcano Lake, Lagoon and Emerald. These are the colors from the Sea Shore mini ink cube set and they are absolutely my favorite colors right now.

I left some space for the 'It's your birthday' sentiment and stamped this with Industrial Diamond.

CAS(E) this Sketch #261

I'm so glad I recently discovered 'Het Scrapbook Atelier Webshop'. It's a webshop with a huge variety of Dutch high-quality polymer stamps. I've never seen so many beautiful Dutch stamps so it was very difficult to choose :p

For this sketch I didn't use a Dutch sentiment from Het Scrapbook Atelier Webshop but I'm planning to use them a lot in future cards.
I did use the teddy bear stamp and the mini square stamps in the background from this webshop.

The sentiment is from Stampin' Up! Moon Baby.
